IT ALL STARTED WHEN...

Chris Rankin was 16 years old when he sent off a letter asking for an audition to play Percy Weasley in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone". He went on to play the role for 11 years.

Chris is a performer, a director, a producer and creative. These days, he can be found living in South Wales, with his partner Ness, and their dogs Stanley and Boo.

A regular at Comic Cons and Events around the world, Chris regularly meets with the fan community and speaks about his experiences in one of the most beloved and successful film franchises in cinema history.

A vocal ally to the LGBTQ+ community, Chris has hosted at Pride Cymru for two years on the trot, working with international performers including Courtney Act and Bang Bang Romeo. Chris & Ness have together formed the House of ChrisNess, a “virtual family, for anyone who needs it”. Through this, they raise awareness of LGBTQ issues and help raise money for LGTBQ charities (currently raising funds for Albert Kennedy Trust).

Chris works with charities around the world. He runs Brecon Little Theatre - a community arts charity in Mid Wales, he’s proud to be patron of Transfiguring Adoption and honoured to give his name to their Chris Rankin Adoptive Parent of the Year Award.

Chris is currently on tour with “The Magical Music of Harry Potter” with dates around Europe, the UK and beyond stretching into 2023!
